Good and Bad Websites
Mercari and LetGo are both websites
that help individuals buy and sell products from all different categories. These
websites help people get rid of their possessions by selling them to others, normally,
for cheaper prices than originals. A successful website comes from how likely
users are to visit and use it. The set up and layout of a website is one of the
most important things in attracting user attention and working to gain an
online following. Another very important topic is user ability. A website that is
easy for users to navigate will cause them to use the website multiple times.
Having qualities such as these is what makes a good website. Mercari and LetGo
are both great websites to help users find what they are looking for, but I believe
LetGo is a good website where Mercari is a bad website in these terms.
LetGo has many different search
options, which provides users the ability to search exactly what they are
looking for. It allows users to select tabs regarding their price range,
location range, and distance. There are also different catagories to narrow
down your search if you are looking for a specific type of product, and even a
search bar. Mercari only has a search bar and different categories. I feel that
as a user it is harder to use Mercari to find specific items and is only geared
towards buyers who know exactly what they are looking for. Both of these websites
also have apps, which is helpful for users, but the apps are designed the same
way as the websites. Based off the layout, design, and user ability, I believe
LetGo is a good website and Mercari is a bad website.
I do like Letgo better than Mercari especially Letgo layout. I like how they show different items that you may be interested in on the homepage. My mom actually uses Letgo to buy stuff from and she never had any problems. I just like Letgo setup better than Mercari.
